Flare-off/strikers are not always the indication of reservoir flow-through gas that ppl think they are, not that I think you aren't informed...don't want to flame anyone intentionally!
I agree with you concerning the timing/options exercising but I can't really comment on trading issues as I really am not that cluey on all the ins-and-outs of trading etc. It does seem that the major financiers are being more than patient with GDN (e.g Macquarie underwriting, large insto package buying) which really isn't a reality unless they think there is money to be had....and good money at that. Either that or Nick Leeson has resurfaced someplace in the gas Ex-Pro business!!
Somebody somewhere did say that oilfield workers or drill platform wprkers wouldn't be allowed to buy in to shares (not just specific to GDN but Ex-Pro operations anywhere). This would generally be the rule of thumb for any company you work for where you have inside knowledge so it's not specific to the O&G Patch. Doesn't mean your mate on the next jack-up over can't tip you the wink so long as you don't tear the shop up buying in..
