what were you thinking?

As a shareholder of Antaria, I am certainly looking forward to next week when the fourth quarter results are expected to be released. The update made on 7 July has certainly got my expectations high.
To think that after all these years Antaria has at worst broken even for a financial year is encouraging, certainly given that at the half way mark for the FY2014, it had made a loss of $121,402. Certainly a great turn around and full credit to Rade and his ever reducing team.
When the half yearly loss was announced, we were told that approximately $1.26M of the reduction in Zinclear-IM sales when compared to the prior corresponding period was attributed to DOW destocking. We were also told on 7 July 2014 that for the full year there was reduced sales in the North American market of approximately $1.2M. That would suggest that sales to North America did not deteriorate in the second half of the FY. Given that commentary around the third quarter cash flow was still negative towards sales to Dow, I am expecting that sales in the fourth quarter substantially improved as sales to the new distributor kicked in the final days of FY2014.
It will be interesting to see what the cash balance was as at 30 June 2014. I would like to think that the risk of a capital raising has passed. Hopefully Antaria will be paying a dividend in a few years’ time.
Thank you to those investors who have been prepared to sell out for 1.4 cents during the week. I only wish I had deeper pockets to fully exploit the opportunity that you were kind enough to present. I guess time will tell whether you made the right decision, in fact, you will probably know in under seven days. I have a feeling that long term investors will be rewarded in the coming months; however, as we know, investing in penny stocks with a long history of making losses is not an investment for the faint hearted.
