I timed my trip home well I guess, the decision yesterday has stirred the town and this morning I wandered down Palmerston Street to find the town centre decorated with balloons and signs in support of Bathurst.
Westport is buzzing about the result and its seems as though shes a done deal for the good folk of Westport now.
Great news considering the state of the local economy at the moment.
My brother is a local builder who worked on the storage shed at the port has really noticed the slow down recently, this mine will be the shot in the arm that Westport needs to get moving again!
