Interesting, this analyst Booth who works for the Texan Reserve Bank says gold will outperform when interest rates drop in response to recession drivers.
(see last 1/3 of the discussion, paraphrasing her).
She is very much across the relevant data, and the lagging indicators as well. Booth is a bit harsh IMO, with the US consumer stating they are 'credit addicts', especially given that many are using it to survive.
However she is saying that March 2024 is when the layoffs will be announced. Other times she says inflation will be set high for 2024 and she doesn't see interest rate cuts this year of any substance.
Regardless, if BGD keeps hitting goals, the market will take notice. BGD = the quiet achiever.
