The ex-dividend dates are pre-announced Timesmac. The only option would be as asf suggested and that would require you to buy back your shares. I definitely think that the sp's north action has only begun concerning the sale and special dividends as the word spreads and a new value is placed on SIP. I wouldn't rely on my judgement though because i did start buying SIP at $1.00+ a long time ago and have been wrong ever since :).... >..<
