The AFR said the equivalent price with copper since the $25 bid is $27 but I cannot see the point of that.
To get it over the line they need a premium so even a 10% getting it to $29.70 is nothing enticing at all and rather petty if you ask me.
All this talk about BHP over paying previously was just silly stuff done in the past but copper and nickel is on a clear upward trajectory and to count coins with the bank balance of BHP proves nothing to their shareholders.

The synergies it would create and huge pipeline of OZ would be easy for BHP to account for any premium so they ought to stop playing games,make a knock out bid and get on with it.
