What you say makes complete sense but it is not the Insto's and sophisticated investors (who generally have more than a one day-few week horizon) that is of concern.
ADO ran from 6c to 16c and there will be many traders looking for an excuse to bail, especially before xmas. The CR gave them this excuse. Many will be happy to take whatever profits before the end of the year.
