I do a bit of day trading and this is how it works on comsec.
Money in bank = $5000
On Wednesday I buy $200000 of CNP (for argument's sake)
I have until the end of Thursday (T+1) to sell the full amount - comsec gives or takes the difference (profit or loss) from my bank account a couple of days later (T+3).
