IMO the rebalance of the indexes may well have had very little to do with the surge in share price in this company and my response regarding the index rebalance was in relation to a question as to what this was. I suspect that the surge in price in the close was more likely due to anticipation of an announcement on Monday before the open. In the event that there is no announcement on Monday, I would not be surprised to see an open below the last close and even a fall in the SP back to around the levels that it traded at for much of Friday.

Given that the permit application was requistioned for further information - I can't see the permit announcement coming early in the week although it is possible that whoever ran the price up in the auction is hedging that the permit will be announced Monday as the Department traditionally releases these on a Monday. Many of us have seen these run ups in the Friday auction only to see a drop in the SP on the following Monday.
