He will want the loss to be managable. Two terms in opposition as worst case and one as best. Who knows how he will maneuver to attempt the outcome. His judgment when cutting down Rudd and backing in Gillard was clearly flawed. What ever he does it will be his own leadership ambitions he puts first.
