Whilst SMN has been shielded from recent market ructions the simple fact is that the company needs to get back on the board, and prepare for the next phase of its journey - a journey that requires additional funds to build on its successful AEM manufacturing base, and to ready for the CVM roll-out that I have no doubt is just around the corner.
IF the shareprice was to fall into the 4's, then its just an even better opportunity to build an even larger position, cheaply - if you are a believer! The installation of particular CVM sensors to various locations within many plane models is the future for ALL airlines. Although the FAA has been ultra slow to approve of such technology there is no doubt a wave of interest and enthusiasm by operators to move into a future direction that improves maintenance procedures, reduces standby time (= potential fleet reductions), and improves safety. This will surely ensure SMN profile 'all of a sudden' becomes a household name in the aviation industry. The discussions taking place between SMN representatives and Boeing suggest to me that some sensors, such as the APB application for 737, may become included as part of new planes manufactured by Boeing - that would be a fantastic filip to the possibilities for the entire CVM range of sensors. Any doubters can leave the room at any time - there will be believers ready to take your shares, especially cheap ones!
