It's disastrous for Australian companies like ORG to have to close down coal-fired power stations.
At the moment it looks like Origin will be subsidised in the future by the NSW State Government to keep their Eraring coal fired clunker going for longer than intended.
One advantage that Origin has is their gas peaking plants that are likely to rake in money during the energy transition that is being delayed by landholders not wanting transmission lines running through their properties.
