The other interesting announcement yesterday was that the federal government is going to underwrite 32GW of renewables to help get to its renewable targets.
Does that mean the "faster renewable roll out" benefit of Brookfield owning Origin is no longer that much of a benefit as the feds are going to make it happen anyway?
I wonder if this was to go back to ACCC for approval would it still pass now and outweigh the higher electricity price concerns?
