it's interesting, you should look up what the definition of "associates" is. I believe the section 249d notice could have just been ignored if it wasn't withdrawn as the "group" hadn't filled out a substantial holder notice.
But I very much doubt if Mike signed it, it would have been some other holders. The question I have, and I don't know the answer to, is whether being the person being nominated to be elected makes him effectively the nominee or an "associate" of that "group" that lodged the 249d notice.
Be interested to know the answer.
