Interesting post Jantimot.........An important aspect of being a director of a company is running it. Some directors of ASX companies are pro-active in this regard, and some are not.
Weather or not you agree that the board of CDU is hard-working and therefore fall into the "pro-active" category, you must agree that the directors' responsibilities lie with the shareholders.
As a non-holder it is unlikely that you will be on any directors speed-dial list. On the other hand, most genuine long-term holders (and even some holder/traders) here on Hot Copper will confirm the willingness of McCrae and perhaps Hutchison to return calls, especially to those shareholders who have demonstrated an ability to cognitively process information.
If on the other hand you were to go to Cloncurry today with a Bank Check for $20m and a proposal to invest in CDU, it is possible the McCrae would scribble your phone number down on his blotting pad.
A busy CEO is not always able to return calls to shareholders, and non-holders of the retail variety run a distant last. Putting it another way the ball is unlikely to be passed to you unless you're in the game.
