Everyone is quick to can masters but i definetely think there is a fix. Not many people see it as a pure hardware play to compete with bunnings. If i was made CEO, first thing I would do is see if Lowes wanted to sell out, buy them out and then convert all of the masters to the Home timber and hardware name in a big box format. I think then you take it to bunnings and you are on the way to growth. Everyone states that Masters has inferior positioning to Bunnings which is true however Woolworths has the better positioning in grocery and is losing market share so it can definetely be done. This would need 2-3 years of pain however the hardware is still salvagable i believe
