    I think Dave you hit the nail on the head. If the cost of the FTH (fibre to the home) service includes all the current services (phone, internet, TV, etc.) then it could be worthwhile. If as I suspect it doesn't then the total cost of having FTH and the services will go into the hundreds per month. I'm not sure if it will be that popular. AAPT have made some estimates and they say even if everyone went over to the new service, the cost would still be $200 per month. This is based on a typical return on investment guidelines. If the take up is not 100%, which of course will be the outcome then the cost will have to be much higher. I reserve my final decision on whether this is a viable venture until I see more accurate and detailed figures. Personally, I'm in complete agreement we need FTH as it's the way of the future. How it's funded and when are the questions.
