FY05 Forecasts
We are forecasting revenue to increase
to $160 million in FY05, as a result of
the 16% manganese benchmark price
increase from 1 April 2004, a modest
forecast 3% manganese price increase
from 1 April 2005, increased
manganese production, continuing
robust chromite prices, and initial
earnings from thermal coal.
The A$:US$ currency risk has been
mitigated by hedging 85% of forecast
US$ revenue over the next 12 months
at an average rate of 63.5 cents.
We are forecasting diluted earnings per
share of 21.7 cents (up 49% on FY04)
and a further increase in dividends to
12 cents per share fully franked. This
represents a payout ratio of just over
50% and equates to a 8.5% fully
franked yield at the current share price.
