    no that is incorrect Tesla is using less than the normal battery maker not planning on using no cobalt, IMO they are playing Russian roulette with there customers at the moment, they also dont say how much less, who knows say for instance instead of using 100% of the cobalt used in normal battery manufacture they say use 99.9%, that works, so they go to 99.8% that works, they keep doing this which effectively is using less, until they get to the bit where it stops working might be 99.7% or might be 90% an unknown figure at this stage, then they play around with the numbers to make sure that the batteries integrity and stability is not compromised, they then announce to the world they have found a way of using less cobalt and maintained the stability of the battery, they dont tell you it was using .3% less cobalt, just that it was less and so now they can release a cheaper version of there vehicle, its called marketing to the public. in the mean time metals world wide will spike and dip in price for various reasons, cobalt is no different it spiked then resettled at its normal trading price,
