    You'd have to stand well clear for that one Jessie, otherwise it could be messy, especially a fresh one!

    We built a mortar that would fire a marble a couple of hundred feet in the air, powered by a thunder.

    Another favourite was the 'ball thrower' which shot a series of different coloured balls of fire into the air.

    At school one day, a kid was running around with the back of his jumper on fire, after being hit RPG style by another kid armed with a 'ball thrower'.

    Everyone thought it was hilarious, except for the kid on fire, and the teachers of course.

    Needless to say, I went to a pretty rough school.

    Fun times they were, and I never heard of anyone losing an eye, or an arm or a leg.

    But that was in the old, politically incorrect, non-Nanny state days.

    These days, kids are armed with knives etc, which are far worse IMO, and some aren't scared to use them!

    How times have changed.
