When I was a kid, I could go into the corner shop and buy lollies called Acid Drops. Ten a penny. You would get something else these days.
At the Royal Show, show bags were called Sample Bags and were free. Mills & Wares biscuits had sample bags in a small school case.
Two shillings would get you into the Saturday matinee with enough left over to buy a White Knight.
