Cha, Ive got no idea what it is. It sure does sound like the PNG gov't is taking a slice, but if this is true why havent I seen any analyst coverage on it? Its a big deal if it affects their costs so significantly.
Anyway, the more I dissect from LGL's financials the more opaque they become & its starting to tick me off. Their cash costs, or 'cost of sales' seem to appear exclude all kinds of expenses and consequently the EBITDA is a nice number. No wonder they're cash costs look impressively low.
As for this year's SP performance - I dont think its that bad taken in a multi-year perspective. A lot of miners are getting hammered what with a general bear-market outlook, they're merging with EQI, their Ballarat operation is coming on-stream and they're on the hook to icrease production to 850k pa. A lot is going on, lets see if they can deliver the 850k!
