This is a very key and simple point that so many market commentators either unintelligently miss, or deliberate miss to suit their agenda.
Ford and GM decreasing their focus on EVs due to "reduced demand in EVs" is of course a better narrative for those respective companies than saying it's due to "our inability to produce competitive EV offerings relative to our peers, due to our lack of future planning and foresight".
