Some may well be waiting for solid state batteries which is the biggest game changer in EV history.
Never need to replace the batteries, can't ever catch fire and charge far faster. Distances are far longer too.
Best of all they are far cheaper.

If you get a solid state battery car down to the price or below the price of a petrol car then game over.
Solid state batteries are in cars later this year and in 2025.

Some solid state batteries are not using lithium though. Most are but some are not.
Doesn't take much to change the course of history when something so good comes along.

Look at the last 20 years in PC and mobile phone technology and improvements.
