I'm still a firm believer another offer is coming - Bank of America increasing their stake, possibly for Shell - who knows. One thing I am sure of is it's not to get cheap AOEI shares.

Also spoke to AOE - as usual - very helpful.

I asked if AOE had spoken to any other parties during the 2 week period or before looking for a better offer - they did but not at liberty to say just who.

The answer was along the lines of we have spoken to other parties and this was the only "formal" offer put through at the time....very open.....

The 30% holding of tenements means nothing once someone else owns AOE - what can Shell do with 30% if they lack control other than sell it back to AOE at a premium.

Contrary to others I still believe BG could still be in the mix - Chinese want the gas - and who knows what deal BG would do with them to keep them happy and cut Shell out..........

    Anyone else care to comment?
