MAR is a tightly held stock that got hit with the GFC. It's cash position was weak but has since improved. Overall the company is in good shape.
MAR has an excellent portfolio of tenements. The most advanced of these is the Conrad silver deposit near Inverell NSW. A lot of drilling has been done and there are substantial proven resources. The company just needs a strong JV partner for development.
Recently, management have been promoting the company to Chinese investors. With the price of silver rising, should a partner be found, the company SP will take off!
Until now however, no-one has been interested. The recent rise is probably on anticipation of finding a JV partner.
