take a couple of hours off and drive up, think its only 2.5 hours from Melb
went there as a tourist years ago, thought it was a bit like Albury Wodonga, big rambling country town, big on tourists................???? fruit growing and farming, dont know what industry to otherwise support the place.........imagine it is popular as a tree change
think lot of melbournians go there for the golf
dont' know what the population is, but am sure you can check it out on the net
