I was attracted by their plucky purchase of my largest (and at the price then) my favourite stock.
Of course LEG is far too micro and illiquid for a large position, but the IGO currency backing gives a very low risk basis to add some well managed bluesky imo.
I don't have geological knowledge to give me confidence to invest in small explorers, except where the likes of the IGO investment hugely removes the risk (and demonstrates management savvy). What got me at the time was not just that they put most of their cash and half their mc on IGO, but that they proclaimed so boldly not that it was a good investment, but "the best".
