So CMC markets have had a massive outage on their platform today from 10am till 1230.

It took 20 minutes on phone hold to get through to their service department to find out what was going on or to do phone trades

Probably a good thing as I was unable to do anything about the 10K drop, thankfully I always keep a strong cash holding (and am only out by $3k in my total portfolio today I have had worse days AKA AFR article last year)

But cant help thinking quite a few people would have stopped out or had margin calls with their accounts being liquidated

Point being the algos for CMC markets would have been going bananas in the background and clients would have been unable to access their accounts and this would have contributed to the sell down as the market maker liquidated accounts.

Just a theory (DYOR, certainly not plugging cfd's )

There is still an outage and it isn't just CFD accounts. The Pro Stockbroking platform isn't loading user data or charts either. The basic account is working with basic limited data.
