My ABN brokers tried to talk me into buying MFS about 10 days...

My ABN brokers tried to talk me into buying MFS about 10 days ago at $4.00. Their analyst claimed that they will be over $6.00 soon due to some good news.

Conversation was like this:
Me: if its true, why are they going down
ABN: because some major Asian fund is dumping them
Me: if they are dumping, why do u want me to buy them? And why are they dumping and getting rid of them?
ABN: they will stop dumping and go up to above $6.00
Me: how do you know when they will stop dumping ?
ABN: dont know.
Me: not touching MFS, as it looks like freefall.
