Diggers and Drillers is a subscriber based investment newsletter from Port Phillip Publishing (PPP) in Melbourne, Australia.
Currently it costs about AUD$299 for an annual subscription.
The newsletter recommends Australian ASX listed mining resource and energy stocks to invest in, usually it does an extensive write up and reseach on one stock a month with a recommendation to buy up to a certain price point.
The newsletter currently has about 15,000 subscribers.
The newsletter maintains it's own portfolio so you can see stocks it has previously chosen and at what price, it also advises on when to sell a stock in the portfolio.
As well as a monthly recommendation, it also provides a weekly update on the general investment environment in the small cap ASX mining and energy sector, together with any new news it has received from the companies it has recommended and are in the current portfolio.
Like many investment newsletters it has had a series of editors and researchers over the years, however the current editor seems to have been the most successful for quite a while, his selections did particularly well in 2010, so that now each month when he selects a stock it seems to drive the price up quite considerably for some time afterwards.
This month he selected Elemental, as you have no doubt realised, and that is the reason the price was higher today.
It looks like there are quite a few people on Hot Copper who also subscribe, including me.
