I think it's a case of a few issues, which when combined, add up to some additional caution this time.

Remember we are in a market right now where there is a huge amount of uncertainty over the Euro situation and a potential contagion effect due to a possible disorderly exit of Greece from the Euro Zone. Sure, this was there before, but now we have actually seen some real hits to commodities. Most commodity stocks have been smashed down, and in fact THR is one of the few that has seemed less affected, perhaps because it was already sold down due to the delayed DFS. So, the people left holding were pretty loyal and therefore less likley to sell when the overall market took a downturn shortly after that event. So ironically, by getting hit by volatility due to the DFS delay, we perhaps were spared some volatility due to overall market changes which hit shortly after that.

To the question you've raised, I am sure that you will see some aniticpation and activity build as the weeks go on, and I am in no doubt there are those who are watching THR closely for the right signal to jump in, but perhaps this time those buy-in decisions will come a little later.

Remember, the short-term traders are really in a tricky spot in bear markets (unless they are shorting). They don't want to get caught or tied up for too long waiting for a result once they buy in. They don't want to "sit it out". They want liquidity...they want to hit and run.

Probably makes sense, given how things played out last time, that they might want to try to time their run pretty tightly this time around...
