Hi Ya,
The sale of 20% interest in the Moomba gas plant seems strange.
I would be surprised if Santos and Origin would want another party involved with only an interest in the gas plant. What about all the field assets? What about obligations under gas contracts?
I understood that JV assets were owned in common by the joint venture parties. I am not aware of a party being able to sell an interest in JV assets.
With 66% vote (by its various subsidiaries) Santos can probably carry any vote which may not suit BPT. Is BPT wanting out or was this a rush of blood by someone new on the scene.
What is your take.
