Perhaps, but that is an expensive venture for something that they dont know works yet. Why not demonstrate production of lithium carbonate at a bench scale, then pilot like Lepidico did with Lmax. Cast your mind back to October 2014; LIT, formerly CXB, announced the production of high purity lithium carbonate from lithium micas just two months! after starting test work with L-max

Yet there is no mention of that from Sileach only this very loose statement “the quality of lithium carbonate product appears suitable for further refining to produce high purity battery grade lithium carbonate" or "This purified liquor will be processed through to high-purity lithium carbonate in a second pilot campaign in the near future."

Appears! if it appears, then make it. I was a firm believer in LIT until this announcement. Reading between the lines suggests they cant do it, effectively or economically, at this stage.
