since the 20th of September, Morgan Stanley have sold just over $1m worth of stock. from what I understand the selling is not with the institutional desk (hence no crossing or cant match up a buyer with the seller), the selling is handled by another part of the broker that help with what is called transitional selling. hopefully i can explain...when big money changes portfolio managers (due to poor performance) sometimes they don't get the cash back (as this is costly selling back to cash) they rather get the portfolio of stocks. when the new portfolio manager takes over , they use a transitional desk to help make the portfolio the way the new manager wants it. normally it means small cap positions are on chopping block (stocks not familiar to the new manager) and FAR wont be the only stock the transitional desk is selling in this portfolio. So its good to know the reason why the stock hasn't moved of late (with oil price).... I believe because of this.
