Getting any permits signed in the current environment is extremely difficult, especially negotiations with traditional land owners. Working in this area, I can tell you there is complete lock down and isolation for regional traditional land owner residents (nothing in, nothing out).
Hopefully this is the delay with FEX. Agree with your sentiments re some sort of announcement to appease holders but just offering some insight to the difficulties with permits mining companies are currently facing due to COVID.
Hopefully can be resolved soon as with a high IO price, low AUD, low oil price and demand ramping in China it is the perfect environment for FEX to start production.
