Biggest disappointment is the reduction in the payout ratio.
DPS consensus for FY24 has been slashed from 12.2c earlier in the year to 8.2c, & depending on the NIM that could still be overstated.
I see AFG as a strong long term business that benefited hugely from COVID which has unwound at the same time conditions have got more competitive.
Clearly I timed my purchase too early but 7% gross for FY24 is still pretty good for a secure, growing business.
