Ah thanks superdup. Didn't think of that meaning for the initials but it is so obvious now.
Now it may not be all that bad.
I noticed from reading details on the Californian site (www.consrv.ca.gov/DOG/OPI = the State of California Department of Conservation [Division of Oil, Gas & Geothermal Resources or DOGGR].......anyway I noticed in reading some of the informative detail there that it was a fairly commomn practice in Californis (and I guess elsewhere) to inject water into a well to improve the recovery of oil and gas. Now okay, Acosta #1 is not producing any oil or gas so far but maybe it will and maybe the use of it as a salt water disposal well will help eventually. Then again ... maybe not.
