Persoanl opinion ASF - but i don't think you'll find any of the NY based institutional investors unwinding stock here - much bigger play at hand in their eyes IMO - and probably a leading factor with management choosing to allocate stock here. These are the people that have the potential to significantly lift the profile of the company & raise the state of future negotiations.
RBS's australian based "strategic investors" on the other hand are quite likely more than happy to lock in the short term gains.
Just my take.
PS - i don't think shareholders are going to get a look into an allocated placement unless the GM's resolutions fail to get the vote.
