Well that's just it. The 'cost in time' for a 6 year wait is very high. The value placed on assets that will not be drilled for years is very low.
Besides, given seismic hasn't been performed on either area yet, you can't possible say what the value of Colombia or offshore Puntland is worth.
What Range could really do with is getting a move on in Trinidad. Big things were supposed to be happening there this year and so far all that's happened is production has dropped by 100bopd. It's this asset which is key.
Also, and I realise we're not talking about a major amount here, but I really dislike the fact that PL has lended money to Continental Coal, and is still diluting Range. If we hadn't made that loan, there could have been less shares issued. The board is supposed to act is the interests of shareholders, and that certainly wasn't in shareholder interests. Yeah I know it's a tiny amount of money, but it's more the principle of it that concerns me.
