Does anyone know what the limits are on foreign investment in Australian companies?
The reason I ask, is when Chinalco tried to buy in RIO over the 7% they owned, I think the max was 14% in 2009.
How does this work with a takeover target?
Would the predator company have to be Australian owned to be able to take over at the percent required for a hostile takeover?
