This will be a real blow to AVM, even if the situation is handled quickly and the mine gets back up and running quickly. I think a discount will always be placed on AVM - just for this reason, to think otherwise is crazy. I think people underestimate sovereign risk. AVM has handled this poorly, the share price should be placed in a halt last night as soon as the event happened. And then shouldnt have been put back into trading until the situation could be properly assessed/resolved.

Apart from the sovereign risk, AVM is a wonderful story unfortunately I dont think you can separate the two.
