No I think they will, even more so.
Look how much our economies are tied up in the POO, green and renewable energy sources offer greater independence just at a cost. Richer countries will continue to develop their alternate energy sources and poorer ones will continue to consume oil until it's not profitable to do so.
By the time we stop using oil there will still be plenty left. Mad Max is only a movie, so remember this when investing.
I find it funny how our wind / water turbines and solar panels are manufactured in poorer countries fueled by oil however - irony.
