You monetize through advertising. If there is a healthy flow of traffic coming in, your primary source of revenue will be through selling ads on your platform, not through paid subscriptions. As you said, how many people are going to pay for a service they can get for free, a small portion at best. "State of the art" tech won't sell subscriptions, so relying on that as your primary source of income is setting up for failure.
That's seriously 101, simple stuff. But I don't see any ads on the website. If the platform is as popular as we're led to believe, they should be getting interest. Either they haven't considered this which would be ludicrous, or there is no interest which means no one knows about Mogul.
