    HI guys

Did a bit of checking up on our closet wells and came up with senario that most of the wells in Coalinga are only drilled to roughly the 8000ft level which in turn is hardly in the Gatchell sands. Our nearest well was to 8240 with oil stained sands located. Believe it or not gas was found too.

Given the fact SCU 1-24 was drilled to 8500ft and drilled into a 180ft oil column as announced and is deeper in the Gatchel than expected than just on the top as most had done.

    Covert 1 API 01904393
    Drilled to 7899 TD.
At 7879, 18ft spotted gray oil sand found
7899 was top of Gratchell sand and drilled only to it.

    Nidever #3 API 01904530
Drilled to 7872 TD on 2/20/53.
24 hr production test got 196 bbls oil 103 bbls water and 1948mct gas.
After that test it was Plugged&Abandoned.
7853ft level encountered 19ftft oil sands and stopped.

    Nidever #2 API 01904529
Drilled to 7860 TD on 19/11/50 where it encountered 7ft siltstone and 5ft of oil sand.
    7854 found 10ft oil sand
At 7836 top of Gatchell sands was found with fresh gassy water located.
Operator at the time recorded the test but did not release it.

    Covert #2 API 01904527.
Drilled to TD of 7905 ft in Dec/ 52.
    Production tested May/53
initially 750bbls oil, 7810 bbls water and 11,890mcuft gas.
But after 29 days of production they got, 2450bbls oil, 20,938bbls water and 11,980mcuft gas. Strange only 8 more in 28 days.
Soon after that it was Plugged and Abandoned.

Another too I picked up is that the CA map reader is not up to date as that in the conour map PEOCO(the operator of this well) supplied to record the paperwork for the well, is that on it, it shows 2 wells in the top direct corner joining the bottom of our section 24.

Our well is about 20ft higher above the dry well to the west of us but drilled another 240 ft deeper. So where is the 180ft oil column as anned.????

I presume some sort of seismic was done before drilling and located the trap.

Heres what I found on another 4 wells to the north of us.
