Be great to see a group of MIRA acquisitions - Vocus, Airtrunk (ex Nextdc talent Robin Khuda) and Nextdc go at it.
Vocus have the sub sea cables and Network, Airtrunk have international DC's in Singapore and Tokyo (which of course Nextdc don't because Khuda took a risk and Nextdc didn't. No doubt Scroggie was held back by an aging Board including Flynn who was asleep as he is 72) as well as other DC's in Aus.
Reckon Macquarie would be keen to get their hands on Nextdc at a base level $10 + 30-50% premium after they recently put a $16.10 12 month price target on the company. Bargain even at $15.00 given this is a business with a 30 year lifespan.
In addition I can see Nextdc being g the DC around the country where Hyperone (Slatterys vision) which adds just that but more value for the long term.
Be great to see Scroggie and Khuda at the helm trying to outdo each other given Khuda moved on from Nextdc and has kicked mamy many goals since.
New board and new, younger leadership teams what is needed here, not a bunch of old Board members, many of which are in their 60-70's who would be lucky to know how to sign up to the Cloud let alone run a company that has the slogan "Where the cloud lives". It lives with the younger generation so come on MIRA, buy this, put so.e fresh young blood in and drive it to the cloud where the name implies.
