It is clear that you don't understand the accounting standards and their requirements when it comes to capex and recognising what is capitalised and what is expended.
Normalise the numbers and you might see what your missing.
Never forget that profit is an accounting function, if it can be avoided during a development phase, companies find a way to utilise it.
