From today,s Australian..."It comes as a number of superannuation funds line up to acquire the Australian data centre business AirTrunk, which is being divested by Goldman Sachs and TPG Capital and may sell for as much as $3bn.
The business was founded by and is run by former Next DC executive Robin Khuda."
Might be interesting to compare valuations.
Airtrunk seems to have quite a bit of capacity, 450MW by my calculation, and this does not even go near what Equinix can put on the market so, yes, there will need to be a fair bit of capacity absorption.
