Going through old records (circa August 2015) and discovered this: Material Federal Government ContractNEXTDC Limited (ASX: NXT) (“NEXTDC” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that it hasentered into a contract with the Federal Government for the provision of data centre services.The contract is for operation over a six year term with options for extension, and is valued atapproximately $35 million before factoring in any revenue derived from power recharge.Revenue recognition will commence in the second quarter of FY16 and ramp up to full billingover the next 24 months.Due to the critical and sensitive nature of the infrastructure the department, location and usewill not be made publicly available.
So I hope that the options for extension are exercised!!
