No use asking Alfie, he couldn't work it out either. (one of my all time favourite movies). About three years ago, when 3 of our dogs had died within a year or so, and old Wally the survivor and my favourite wasn't looking crash hot, my grandson did an oil painting of him to give me at Xmas. Wally was dead by then and of course I just burst into tears when I opened the present. You've heard of that Aussie legend, The Sentimental Bloke. Well I'm his great great grandson, in spirit anyway. Here's the thing. The young bloke had been having art lessons for a couple of years and his teacher thought he was a natural. I'm looking at that picture now and it's just so life like. It IS the dog, no two ways about it. But has he kept up with the art? No. His interest for the past couple of years has been astrophysics and AI. He'll finish school this year and universities are already interested in the work he's been doing.
What's it all about, life? You can never tell where it will take you.
